Consent & Data for Testimonials

Last updated · July 2026

1. Where a recording actually goes

A video or voice testimonial is uploaded to storage hosted in the United States and served from a link containing a random, unguessable identifier. Anyone with that exact link can play it; it is never listed publicly and is not indexed, but it is unlisted rather than private.

Say so when you ask. Someone recording themselves deserves to know it will be reachable by link, and it costs nothing to tell them.

Deleting the testimonial deletes the recording.

2. What a verified badge means

'Email confirmed' means that person clicked a link we sent to their address. 'Purchase confirmed' means a payment record matched them. Neither can be switched on by hand — not by you, and not by the person submitting.

That restriction is the point. A trust badge anybody could award themselves would be worthless, and the FTC's rule on fake reviews treats a self-awarded mark of authenticity as deceptive.

3. Why this page exists

WarmProof handles something personal: real people's words, faces, and voices. This page explains — in plain language — what happens when you leave a testimonial through WarmProof, or when a creator captures something you wrote to them.

4. If you submitted a testimonial

When you submit text, video, or a voice note through a WarmProof collection page, you choose what to share and you grant the creator permission to display it in their marketing — their website, emails, and launch materials.

Your email address is used only to verify your testimonial and for consent records. It is never displayed publicly and never used for marketing by WarmProof.

5. If a creator captured your message

Creators can turn a message you already sent them (a DM, a comment, a community post) into a testimonial. Before it can be published, WarmProof sends you a consent request — nothing goes live until you approve it.

You can decline, or later withdraw consent, at any time. Withdrawn testimonials are removed from all walls and widgets automatically.

6. Video & voice

Recordings are stored securely and streamed only through the creator's WarmProof pages and embeds. Consent for video and voice is recorded separately and explicitly, because your face and voice deserve extra care.

7. Your rights

You may request a copy of your data, correction of your name or details, or complete deletion of your testimonial at any time — write to hello@warmproof.com from the email you submitted with, and we'll take care of it within 30 days (usually much faster).

Questions about any of this? Write to hello@warmproof.com — a human reads every message.
